University District Farmers Market operated by the Neighborhood Farmer’s Market Alliance
Saturdays 9am - 2pm, Every Saturday - All Seasons
The University District Farmers Market is an outdoor, seasonal Farmers Market that takes place every Saturday on the South lot of the University Heights Center. The U-District Farmers Market is organized by the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance. The Alliance is a U-District based non-profit committed to providing support to Washington State's small family farmers. The Alliance's primary work is to create successful, vibrant Farmers Markets in Seattle neighborhoods. An astounding array of fresh, seasonal produce from Puget Sound and Eastern Washington, sold direct to shoppers by the farmer who grow it. Also organize meats, eggs, poultry, seafood, artisan breads and cheeses, honey, ciders, cut flowers, plant starts, preserves and jams. All locally produced.

U – Heights Plaza Days
The University Heights Center Plaza Days event was birthed as a blossoming concept to provide the community a pleasant and safe place to gather, recreate, embrace and enhance connections within the community. This event was created to provide, in essence, a “third place” for UHC tenants, building visitors, and community citizens visiting the district and University District Farmer’s Market. Our focus, for our food vendors is sustainability and emphasis is placed on healthy food and living. This event is held consecutive Saturdays throughout the fair weather season. Starting from the Saturday following the U District Street Fair and ending the Saturday prior Thanksgiving. Now in its second year, this community event includes prepared food vendors, live music, and a children’s playground. For future events, festivities may include artisan craft/trade vendors.
Dates: TBD
For more information or if you would like to be a food vendor please email plaza@uhcca.org.

Green Party of Seattle
Inspired by the 1996 Ralph Nader presidential campaign, the Green Party of Seattle organized to promote the Ten Key Values of the Green Party and to offer an alternative to the two major parties. Greens work to improve society through electoral politics, community organizing, personal responsibility, and direct action. The Green Party of Seattle offers a principled alternative to the Democratic and Republican parties. Greens are citizens committed to peace, social justice, environmental protection and grassroots democracy -- fundamental values that have been largely abandoned these days in favor of big-money, corporate campaign contributions. The Green Party of Seattle holds monthly meeting every third Wednesday of each month.
